    Bi-directional groove pattern face ring for dry gas seals. Precision-machined grooves enable gas film generation regardless of shaft rotation direction.

    2. Groove Pattern: Bi-directional (T-groove or herringbone)
    3. Surface Finish: Ra ≤0.1 μm on sealing face
    4. Flatness: ≤0.9 μm (2 light bands)
    5. Applicable Pressure: Up to 18 MPa
    6. Applicable Speed: Up to 150 m/s linear velocity

    Design Features

    1. Bi-directional groove geometry generates lifting force in both clockwise and counter-clockwise rotation, eliminating the need for rotation-specific parts.
    2. Tungsten Carbide substrate provides maximum hardness (HRA ≥90) and wear resistance for demanding compressor services.
    3. Precision laser or photochemical etching ensures consistent groove depth and geometry for reliable gas film stiffness.
    4. Compatible with all AS DGS seal assemblies as drop-in replacement face rings.
