    Spiral groove pattern face ring machined from SSiC (Sintered Silicon Carbide). The spiral grooves compress barrier gas to create a lifting force for non-contacting operation.

    Design Features

    1. SSiC provides excellent chemical inertness, thermal conductivity, and hardness (HV ≥2500) for corrosive and high-temperature gas services.
    2. Logarithmic spiral groove pattern optimizes gas compression ratio for maximum film stiffness-to-leakage performance.
    3. Lightweight compared to Tungsten Carbide — reduces centrifugal stress at high rotational speeds.
    4. Suitable for both compressor and pump DGS applications as rotating or stationary face ring.
